Bishop Barron would not reverse Supreme Court’s decision which legalised same-sex marriage 1 February 2017

Why is this here?

Firstly: considering that the Community of Christ our Hope Sydney excludes no one from Communion on any basis what so ever. It does not label people according to sex or gender variant, married, divorced or any who in any shape or manner are excluded from The Holy Communion in mainstream Church, nor pass judgement pass judgement on any soul.

Secondly: Judgement regarding sex and Gender variant people, endangers the intrinsic worth of a person to the very core of their being, driving some to take very drastic means to comply with the so called catechises they believe will save them from themselves.

Thirdly: If their Faith is as yet undeveloped they tend to cling to the tenets and mores of church society and subject themselves to mental, even physical, torture because of their difference. Suffer hostility and violence from others who are  scared of difference. All for words never uttered by Jesus Christ our Lord and Brother, who tells us to ‘Love one another as I have loved you’

Excerpts from interview with Dave Rubin:

With Cardinal Dolan, Bishop Barron spoke about: If the only thing gay person hears from the Catholic Church is you’re “intrinsically disordered” we have a very serious problem on our hands.

(In New York City alone – there are several gay-affirming parishes that regularly sponsor “Pride” masses, organized lectures and retreats given by Catholic “gay” men and women who openly dissent from Church teachings with regards to homosexuality. How then, could anyone possibly believe that there are “gay” people who only hear they are “intrinsically disordered” from the Church – actually, this is probably the one thing they will never hear. In fact, at the 2017 LA Religious Education Congress, where Bishop Barron will also speak, “gay” Catholic Arthur Fitzmaurice, who has spoken at this event several times, has repeatedly stated that in terms of homosexuality, the language in the Catechism is “gravely evil.”)
