Blessed Fr. Franciszek Drzewiecki, FDP born at Zduny (Lowicz – Poland), killed in hatred of the faith at Dachau (Germany) on 13th September 1942, at 34 years of age, 11 of religious Profession and 6 of Priesthood.


Orionist. After studies at the mother-house in TortonaItaly, he was ordained on 6 June1936. Returning to Poland, he taught at the college of Zdunska Wola. Parishpriest in Wloclawek, PolandArrested on 7 November1939 and condemned to forced labour at the Dachau concentration camp farms during the Nazipersecutions; he kept consecrated hosts in a small box he wore around his neck, and spent his time in the fields in Eucharistic adoration. Martyr.
